1787-09-29, Objections to the Articles of Confederation (Eng.)
|
|
September 29, 1787 Address of the subscribers member of the past House of Representatives to their constituents regarding the federal constitutional convention and the Articles of Confederation. Of note, the signors of this document asserted that Pennsylvania delegates to that convention were all from Philadelphia and mostly the same party, and did not represent the landed interest in the state. The address further described the unfair process used by the House to hold a convention, as well as objecting to the Articles. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of the title originally held by the Historical Society of Pennsylvania Library (c.1), and the Massachusetts Historical Society Library (c.2)).
