1789-11-23, N.C. proposed amendments to U.S. Constitution

November 23, 1789 proposed amendments to the United States Constitution by the State of North Carolina. The amendments covered diverse issues; from requiring a yearly public journal for all proceedings in Congress except in matters of secrecy, disallowing Congress members from simultaneously having a civil office while serving, to having term limits of four years. Of note, there are two copies of these resolutions. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the New York Public Library (c.1), and the American Antiquarian Society Library in Worcester, Massachusetts (c.2)).
