October 13, 1779 form letter from the Council calling out classes of militia from counties to rendezvous at Trenton, using state arms, accouterments,
and blankets. The order followed the approach of a French fleet under Count D'Dftaing, under the command of Gen. Washington. (Digitized from a
microfilm copy of the title originally held by the Historical Society of Pennsylvania Library).
Title:   In Council, Philadelphia, October 13, 1779 : Sir, The approach of the fleet of His Most Christian Majesty, under the command of the Count d'Estaing, intended to co-operate with the American Army ... the state of Pennsylvania is called upon to furnish a body of militia to the aid of the Continental Army.
