1836-01-16, Message relating to sundry documents
Senate No. 5 Message relating to sundry documents and a letter from the late acting Governor. On January 16, 1836, Edward Everett forwarded a
January 13, 1836 letter from the former Governor, several annual reports and some correspondence. The letter explained the appointment of I. C. Bates as
the state's agent in Washington re the 1812 militia claim. The new buildings at the Lunatic Asylum were going well, both surveys were going very
well, and the Rainsford Island seawall would really get rolling in the spring. The State Prison even made money. The actual reports were not present
here. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the Massachusetts State Library).
