SEE ALSO 52536 Senate No. 51 Message on the Commissioners statement relative to the revision of laws. On March 6, 1834, Governor Davis forwarded
the March 5 message from the Commissioners and added his comments. The Commissioners were close to finished with their task and wanted to give the
draft wide distribution so as to prepare the public mind for the change. They hoped the Legislature would set up a committee to receive the draft so it
could be examined before the next legislative session, which the Governor thought was a good idea. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title
