1830, Correspondence on the Massachusetts Claim
Senate No. 3 [a handwritten note said this was number 3 of the May session] Governor Lincoln sent along another batch of maddening correspondence
with the Secretary of War and others who were to finally release the funds authorized by Congress. A Mr. Davis was the state's agent in Washington and
he vigorously pursued the claim, but as of November 13, 1830, the money had not been released. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally
held by the Massachusetts State Library).
