1693-06-08, Redemption of slaves, B. Fletcher
June 8, 1693 Benjamin Fletcher's order of a redemption of several men who were captured by the "Infidell." The order allowed churches to collect
monies to pay the ransom, as their relatives were unable to raise sufficient funds. The first copy was scanned and is of very poor quality; however a
printed copy of same exists in the Library of Congress (c.2) and available on-line; the original was with the American Philosophical Society.
(Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the New York Historical Society Library (c.1); Library of Congress (c.2); and the American
Philosophical Society Library (c.3)).
