Roman Private Law: in the times of Cicero and the Antonines, by Henry John Roby (2.v), and published in Cambridge in 1902. The preface presented a summary of the history of Roman Law. and the process used to write this treatise. Following an introduction, volume 1 included the law regarding citizenship and statues, family, inheritance, and property. Volume !! discussed obligations and procedure, and contained an appendix with several essay on Cicero's speeches.
