The author’s Preface describes this as “a systematic and historical treatment of the civil and criminal procedure” of “the Ciceronian period.” The volume includes large sections on Civil Procedure and Criminal Procedure; four Appendices, including commentaries on several of Cicero’s speeches; Notes; and Index of Subjects; and an Index of passages in Cicero.
