handwritten, Adjutant General's Office, September 20, 1957. ( The clemency review file of William Frazier, formerly a cook in the 24th infantry, who was
convicted by court martial of disobeying orders, mutiny, murder, and felonious assault in connection with the race riots in Houston, Texas on August 23,
1917. He was sentenced to be dishonorably discharged with total forfeitures, and confinement at hard labor for life. Documents include a memorandum to
the Judge Advocate General, report of the Clemency Board, and documents filed with the U.S. District Court. On September 20, 1957 the remainder of
his sentence was remitted.)
