A selection of Oriental Cases decided by the Supreme Courts of the Straits Settlements, which were collected and arranged by Robert Carr Woods, Jr.,
and originally published in 1869, and reprinted in 1911. The preface indicated that the author collected theses cases generally from local journals,
as well as including a few unreported decisions. He also noted that at times native customs differed from English law, and some flexibility was, at
times. necessary to prevents injustices.
