( A letter by James Stephen, the principle English lawyer associated with the abolitionist movement, to William Wilberforce an English politician and philanthropist. Both men became active in the abolitionist movement and in this letter Stephen informs Wilberforce of the political opposition to the bill before Parliament for the registration of slaves.)
