The Revised Laws of Antigua were published in 1962 in nine volumes, containing the laws and regulations in effect as of January 2, 1962. They were printed by Waterlow & Sons, Ltd. London, for the Government of British Guiana. A chronological table of laws began on page v with definitions of abbreviations used in the subsequent pages. Pt. I showed all the titles in force in 1919 and listed subsequent laws until 1962. Part II included the federal acts of the Colony of the Leeward Islands applicable to the colony of Antigua in 1956. Pages vii-lxi showed all the laws passed since 1721 and how subsequent changes had affected them. Pages lxii-ci provided the same information for federal acts up to 1956, followed by a Table of Contents by title and chapter, p. ciii-cxvii. At long last, at p. cxix-cxxv was the Ordinance to prepare and publish the edition of 1961. A rule on page cxxvi changed the publication date to 1962. The actual text of the laws was from p. 1-p. 624, followed by a topical index of all the law volumes. Each of the subsequent volumes II-V had its own Table of Contents and a repetition of the index. Volume I covered Title I, chapters 1-72, volume II covered the end of Title I-Title XVI, chapters 73-169. Volume III covered Title XVII-XXVII, chapters 170-237. Volume IV covered Title XXVIII-Title XXXIII, chapters 238-294. Volume 5 covered Title XXXIV-Title XXXVIII, chapters 295-381. Volume I covered Administration of Justice, with considerable attention paid to the Coroner, Evidence, Juvenile Justice, Magistrate Procedure, and Jurisdiction. Volume II paid more than usual attention to Exchange of Currency, Barbuda, Mongoose Protection, Customs, and Harbors. Volume III paid significant attention to Legislation and Legislators, United States Bases in Antigua, Patents, Pensions, and Public Health. Volume V was for miscellaneous laws, Firearms, Religious Organizations, Status of Persons, and Trade and Labor. Volumes VI-IX were for Subsidiary Legislation [regulations] including text, forms, schedules of fees or other information, illustrations and diagrams. In volume VI, there were four parts: Pt. I was for subsidiary legislation related to Local Acts, Pt. II was for Imperial Acts, Pt. III was for the Royal Perogative, and Pt. IV was for acts repealed. There was a Table of Contents organized by title and chapter for all parts. Volume VII carried on Pt. I from Chapter 215 to Chapter 381. Not every chapter had subsidiary legislation. Volume VIII took care of Pts. II-IV, plus a substantial Appendix. Volume IX was a general index from p. 5-225.
