Political Constitution of the Free State of Coahuila and Texas, sanctioned by the Constitutive Congress of said state on March 11, 1827. Of note, this was one of the constituent states of the newly established United Mexican States under its 1824 Constitution. This constitution banned further immigration of slaves, as well as freedom to slaves in Texas within six months. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of titles originally held the Library of Congress).
