(1908) Being the Only Authorised Verbatim Account of the Whole Proceedings with Introduction and Character Sketch of Bal Gangadhar Tilak together with Press Opinion. Published by N. C. Kelkar. Editor, The Mahratta (September 1908). Approximately 475 p., variously paginated. Contents include a preface and introduction; a character sketch of Mr. Tilak; transcription of trial proceedings before the Bombay High Court Third Criminal Sessions (July 1908), including a speech by Mr. Tilak and the verdict and sentence; and before the High Court of Judicature at Bombay; and the High Court Appeal (application for a Rule Nisi), including the High Court Judgment. (The Introduction states: “The present is the second State prosecution for sedition against Mr. Tilak, the first one being in 1897. In both the cases Mr. Tilak was prosecuted in his capacity as the publisher of certain alleged seditious matter in his paper the Kesari. Mr. Tilak was even in 1897, as of course he is today, the most popular Mahratta in India.”)
