Reports of civil causes adjudged by the Court of Sudur Udlut, for the Presidency of Bombay, between the years A.D. 1800 and A.D. 1824; divided into
two parts, the cases in the first (volume) being selected from the decisions of the court in Bombay, before its removal to Surat, on the 1st January
1821, those in the second (volume) from the decisions at Surat up to 31st May 1824; With an appendix and an index to the reports: (H. Borradaile), Vol.
1–2, Bombay, pr. at the Courier Press, 1825. (More so than with the typical case reporter, this work was intended by the East India Company as an
instruction manual to its judicial employees on the process of handling suits in the native courts. Thus, in reporting the cases: “...it was determined to
make them so full that every thing in any way relating to the Case itself should be preserved.... Under this idea, everything of the kind occurring
in any case, whether strictly referring to it or not, and valuable miscellaneous orders passed by the Sudur Udalut, without reference to any particular
cause on the File, have been included in the reports or collected among the selection of summary orders in the Appendix.”– V. 1, pref. p.ii. The
