resolution of the Senate of the 13th of October in relation to the Cherokee treaty of 1835, I have the honor to transmit herewith, reports from the
Major General Commanding-in-Chief, the Commissioner of Indian Affairs, and the Second Auditor, containing the information called for.” This document
details preparations for removal of the Cherokee Nation from the area of Georgia and Tennessee to lands west of the Mississippi.
