Choctaw Treaty with the Dawes Commission. Full Text. Published by Capital Printing House. 19 p. This document concludes, “This agreement shall be
binding on the United States, when ratified by congress, and on each tribe or nation party hereto, whenever ratified by the constituted authorities of
that tribe or nation.” The agreement was followed by the names of U.S. government officials affixed to it on December 18 1896. The treaty also included
the Chickasaw Nation.
