of the Senate of December 6, 1883, report of the Commissioner of Indian Affairs submitting copies of Sioux agreements to cession of land to the Unites
States, with correspondence connected therewith. January 23, 1884, referred to the Select Committee on Sioux Indian Reservation. 71 p. Contents
include the letter of January 22, 1884, by Secretary H. M. Teller; the letter of Commissioner H. Price to the Secretary with copies of the agreements made
with the Sioux Nation of Indians “for the cession of portions of their existing reservation to the United States, the establishment of separate,
smaller reservations, for the several bands, to be carved out of the existing reservation, etc.” (At pp. 34-41, the agreement, with lists of those
witnessing, approving and assenting to the agreement, is set forth.) Also included is a map of the Dakota territory showing the Standing Rock, Cheyenne,
Ogalalla and Brule Reservations, at pp. 70-71.
