Articles of a Treaty between the United States of America and the Confederated Tribes of Sac and Fox Indians, October 11, 1842, 7 Stat. 596-600. (
Articles of a Treaty between the United States of America and the Confederated Tribes of Sac and Fox Indians in which the Indians ceded to the U.S. all
the lands west of the Mississippi River to which they had any claim, title, or interest. They agreed to move to a permanent residence on a tract of
land next to the Missouri River before May 1, 1843. The chiefs of both Tribes were to receive $500 annually to be used as they thought proper in
addition to the annual payment specified in Article V. The treaty was concluded at the agency of the Sac and Fox Indians in the Territory of Iowa on October
11, 1842.)
