Treaty with the Hunkpapas Band of the Sioux Tribe, July 16, 1825, 7 Stat. 257-259. ( Treaty of Friendship between the United States and the Hunkpapas Band of the Sioux Tribe. The Indians were taken under the protection of the United States and acknowledged its supremacy. The agents of the President are to designate places for trade with the Indians and the Hunpapas Band agreed never to sell guns or ammunition to tribes unfriendly to the United States. The treaty was concluded at the Auricara Village on July 16, 1825.)
