1833-10-09, Confederated Bands of Pawnees-U.S.
Articles of Agreement and Convention between the United States and the four confederated bands of Pawnee, viz.-- Grand Pawnees, Pawnee Loups, Pawnee
Republicans, and Pawnee Tappaye, residing on the Platte and Loup Fork, October 9, 1833, 7 Stat. 448-450. ( Articles of Agreement and Convention
between the United States and the four confederated bands of Pawnee, viz.-- Grand Pawnees, Pawnee Loups, Pawnee Republicans, and Pawnee Tappaye, residing on
the Platte and Loup Fork, in which the Pawnees cede all the land lying south of the Platte River. The land ceded could not be assigned to other
tribes and the Pawnees were authorized to hunt on the land with the permission of the President. The Indians were to receive $4,600 in goods for twelve
years and compensation for the move from the south to the north side of the Platte River. The agreement was concluded at the Grand Pawnee Village on
the Platte River on October 9, 1833.)
Title:   Articles of Agreement and Convention, made this Ninth Day of October, A.D. 1833 at the Grand Pawnee village, on the Platte River / between Henry L. Ellsworth, commissioner in behalf of the United States, and the chiefs and head-men of the Four Confererated Bands of Pawnees, viz.--Grand Pawnees, Pawnee Loups, Pawnee Republicans, and Pawnee Tappaye, residing on the Platte and the Loup fork.
