1825-09-30, Treaty with the Pawnee Tribe
Treaty with the Pawnee Tribe, September 30, 1825, 7 Stat. 279-281. ( Treaty between the United States and the Pawnee Tribe of Indians respecting
friendship and trade. The Pawnee Indians were taken under the protection of the United States and acknowledge its supremacy. They recognize the right of
the United States to regulate all trade and intercourse with them. They also agree that if any person not authorized by the U.S. comes into their
district for the purpose of trade, they shall deliver him to an agent of the United States government. No guns or ammunition are to be sold to tribes
unfriendly to the United States. The treaty was concluded at Fort Atkinson at Council Bluffs on September 30, 1825.)
