Articles of a Treaty between the United States and the Winnebago Nation of Indians, September 15, 1832, 7 Stat. 370-373. ( Articles of a Treaty
between the United States and the Winnebago Nation of Indians in which the Indians cede the land described in Article I. As consideration the United
States ceded land on the west side of the Mississippi River twenty miles above the mouth of the upper Ioway River. The Winnebagos were also to receive
$10,000 in specie annually for twenty-seven years. They were forbidden to reside, plant, fish, or hunt on the ceded land. The treaty was concluded on
September 15, 1832 at Fort Armstrong, Rock Island, Illinois.)
