Articles of a Treaty between the United States and the Ioway Tribe and the Band of Sacks and Foxes of the Missouri residing west of the State of
Missouri, September 17, 1836, 7 Stat. 511-513. ( Articles of a Treaty between the United States and the Ioway Tribe and the Band of Sacks and Foxes of
the Missouri residing west of the State of Missouri in which the Indians cede the land described in Article 1. The Ioways and the Sacks and Foxes of the
Missouri received $7,500 and were given a small piece of land south of the Missouri River for a permanent home. The treaty was concluded at Fort
Leavenworth on the Missouri River on September 17, 1836.)
Title:   Articles of a Treaty, made and concluded at Fort Leavenworth, on the Missouri River : between William Clark, Superintendent of Indian Affairs, on the part of the United States, of the one part, and the undersigned chiefs, warriors, and counsellors of the Ioway tribe and band of Sacks and Foxes of the Missouri, (residing west of the State of Missouri,) in behalf of their respective tribes, of the other part.
