Articles of a Treaty between the United States and the Potawattamie Indians of the Wabash, September 23, 1836, 7 Stat. 515-516. ( Articles of a
Treaty between the United States and the Potawattamie Indians of the Wabash in which the Indians cede to the United States all the land belonging to the
Tribe in the State of Indiana, and designated in the Treaty of 1832, 7 Stat. 399 (LLMC 69918) as reservations for their use. The Indians agreed to move
within two years to land west of the Mississippi River provided by the United States. The treaty was concluded at Chippe-way-naung in the State of
Indiana on September 23, 1836.)
Title:   Articles of a Treaty made and concluded at Chippe-way-naung in the State of Indiana : on the twenty-third day of September, one thousand eight hundred and thirty-six, between Abel C. Pepper, commissioner on the part of the United States, and chiefs, warriors and headmen of the Potawattamie Indians of the Wabash.
