Articles of a Treaty between the United States and the Potawattimie Tribe of Indians, August 5, 1836, 7 Stat. 505-506. ( Articles of a Treaty between
the United States and the Potawattimie Tribe of Indians. The Potawatomi Tribe cedes to the United States twenty-two sections of the land reserved for
them in Article Two of the treaty concluded October 26, 1832 (LLMC 69916) on the Tippecanoe River in the State of Indiana. In consideration the
United States agreed to pay the Tribe $14,080 after the ratification of this treaty. The Indians agreed to move within two years west of the Mississippi
River on land provided by the United States. The treaty was concluded at a camp near the Yellow River in the State of Indiana on August 5, 1836.)
