Treaty between the United States of America and the Chiefs and Delegates of the Pottawatamie Tribe of Indians. Concluded April 22, 1836; ratified May
25, 1836. Contents include a proclamation by President Andrew Jackson; the text of the agreement; the list of those affixing their marks and the
witnesses and interpreter; and the statement by the president acknowledging the Senate resolution (May 20, 1836) giving its advice and consent to the
treaty and ratifying the treaty with the exception of Article 4, which is replaced by the language added in the Senate resolution (May 25, 1836).
