Articles of Agreement and Convention between the United States and the Cherokee Nation of Indians west of the Mississippi, February 14, 1833, 7 Stat. 414-416. ( Articles of Agreement and Convention between the United States and the Cherokee Nation of Indians west of the Mississippi in which they relinquished to the United States land ceded to the Cheerokee Nation by the Treaty of Washington, 7 Stat. 311 (LLMC 69894). The Indians are guaranteed 7,000,000 acres of land on the western border of the Arkansas Territory. The United States agrees to the Cherokees' demand that Article VI of the Treaty of Washington, which says the Indians may wish the U.S. to give them a plain set of laws, be annulled. The agreement and convention was concluded on February 14, 1833 at Fort Gibson on the Arkansas River.)

Articles of agreement and convention made and concluded at Fort Gibson, on the Arkansas river on the fourteenth day of February one thousand eight hundred and thirty-three / by and between Monfort Stokes, Henry L. Ellsworth and John F. Schermerhorn duly appointed commissioners on the part of the United States and the undersigned chiefs and head-men of the Cherokee nation of Indians west of the Mississippi, they being duly authorized and empowered by their nation.
