Articles of a Treaty between the United States of America and the Cherokees, October 27, 1805, 7 Stat. 95-96. ( A treaty between the United States and the Cherokee Indians which cedes their rights to the land whose boundaries are specified in Article I. They also granted free use of a road through their land for carrying mail. In consideration the U.S. agreed to pay sixteen hundred dollars or the equivalent in merchandise. The treaty was concluded at Tellico in the state of Tennessee on October 27, 1805.)
