1756?, Letter from G. Washington at Williamsburg to Gov. Morris (MS) with enclosure

Wrapper: Copy Letter from Col. Washington to Governor Morris, not dated. Washington had been called to the frontier in his military capacity and
his forces managed to disperse the enemy and kill their commander. That man's battle instructions had been found; he had sent a copy to Morris. He
wished the colonies could be united in the war. A post script said Virginia's Assembly had voted L20,000 and 2,000 men for the war. He asked Morris to
forward an enclosure to General Gage.
This was the Instructions document. Wrapper: Instructions or orders found in the pocket of Ensign Donville,
killed in Virginia, inclosed in Coll. Washington's letter to Governor Morris which is without date. Captain Dumas of the Infantry commanding Belle
Riviere and dependencies. Ensign Donville was to command a party of savages to observe the movements of the enemy, harass the supply lines, and blow up
a magazine if possible. He should emphatically insist that the savages were not to torture prisoners--honor and humanity was to be the guide.
