Pennsylvania session laws: 1711–, title varies, var. state printers, 1711– (The initial constitutional documents for Pennsylvania consisted of the
Duke of York’s Laws, 1666, but the general assembly did not achieve real power until the 1690s. This legislative body assumed most powers in the colony
by 1700, and a Charter of Privileges in 1701 moved Pennsylvania closer to the status of a royal colony, although it did not in fact achieve
self-governing parity with the New England colonies until the American Revolution. The session laws of the Province of Pennsylvania began to be printed on a
current basis with the October session of 1711. The first legislative session of the present Commonwealth of Pennsylvania was held in November, 1776.) At
the time of microfilming the Early State Records Collection, the Library of Congress was unable to locate a document for the following sessions:
October 2-November 15, 1783; January 5-13, 1784 (adj. session); March 29-April 9, 1784 (adj. session); May 24-June 26, 1784 (adj. session); January
2-February 2, 1792 (adj. session); and May 1-5, 1792 (call.session). (Documents included in the Early State Records Collection were digitized from a
microfilm copy of title originally held by the Library of Congress, Delaware State Library, the Historical Society of Delaware Library, the Historical
Society of Pennsylvania, and the Public Archives Commissions in Dover, Delaware). At the time of microfilming the Early State Records Collection, the
Library of Congress was unable to locate a document for the following sessions: June - October 1715; October-January 1717; February session 1719/20;
October 1721-February 1722; October - November 1723; October 1725-January 1726; October 1730; June 1735 (Private act); and, July session 1759. No acts
were passed in the following sessions: May 1716-May 1717; September 1718-January 1719; May 1719-January 1720; May 1720-January 1721; July 1722-January
1723; May 1726-March 1727; August 1727-March 1729; August 1731; October 1732; October 1734-January 1735; September 1737-October 1738; September
