Header: April 1, 1757. To the Honourable Sir William Johnson, Baronet, His Majesty's sole agent and Superintendant of the affairs of the Six
Nations, their allies, and dependants. [Croghan] arrived at John Harris' on 29 March 1757. There were 150 men, women, and children from eight tribes
already there. On the 30th, he spoke with Peepy and Montour about the response to earlier messages to the Susquehanna Indians. Teedyuscung was in Seneca
country, trying to persuade some of them to come to the Council. Croghan learned that part of the Delaware and Shawnee had gone to the lower Ohio
River and another part wanted to be with the Six Nations. The Nations had sent messages to the Delaware and Shawnee to come to the Council. (Digitized
