1856? Report of the Joint Select Committee on Cherokee lands, regarding a petition of various citizens of Cherokee County. The petition sought a law
allowing a refund for the sums paid for Cherokee lands above the valuation price, consistent with other refunds given in acts in 1829 and 1850.
These petitions were not in those classes; however, the committee determined that the claims were not supported by evidence. (Digitized from a microfilm
