Association of the Bar of the City of New York. Handbook of the Library, 1921
Handbook of the Library of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York. Containing a brief sketch of its history and present contents.
Prepared by the Library Committee (1921). 22 p. The title page identifies this as Number 8, Bulletin of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York
(Charles E. Hughes, Jr., Editor). This publication includes a discussion of categories of materials, including foreign law treatises; library
departments; and library trust funds, including legacies. (The Foreword states: “Since printing the Catalogue of the Library of the Association in 1892, the
resources of the collection have been so broadened and enriched that that volume, valuable as it still is as a legal bibliography, no longer gives an
adequate conception of the size and completeness of the Library and its value for research purposes. The cost of a new edition of the Catalogue is
prohibitive, and the Committee issues this description of the collection in the hope that it may bring home to the members of the Association and to the
public the scope of the Library.”)
