Forty-fifth Legislature. House. No. 49. The Committee on Military Affairs submitted: An Act authorizing pensions for disabled soldiers and seamen,
1866. Any person who served on the quota of Maine and was disabled as a result could have $8/month as a pension. Widows with children would
receive the same. The money would be paid by the local jurisdiction to be reimbursed by the state. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title
