SEE ALSO 56498 Forty-fifth Legislature. House. No. 36. An Act to supply the inhabitants of the city of Bangor with pure water, 1866. Five men
were incorporated as the Bangor Water Company to bring good water to Bangor plus a supply for fire fighting. The Company could hold up to $300,000 in
real and personal property. They could use any water source except Pushaw Pond [in the other bill, the pond was the primary source] The Company
could not interfere with mill owners' water use and the mill owners could not interfere with the Company's piping. There were directions for the piping;
construction damage was to be handled in the usual way. The Company had five years to be up and running. The final section laid out penalties for
water corruption and vandalism. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the Maine Historical Society Library, the Maine State
