Thirty-sixth Legislature. Senate. No. 10. The Committee on Railroads, Ways, and Bridges submitted: An Act to incorporate the Southport Bridge
Corporation, 1857. Four men were incorporated as above, subject to the Revised Statutes. The act defined the location of the bridge and laid out very
specific tolls. The company had four years to build the bridge. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the Library of
