Joint Standing Comm. on the Judiciary. Report on J. Doggett, 1843
February 2, 1843 Report of the Joint Standing Committee on the Judiciary regarding the petition of John Doggett, which was included, along with the
memorial of William Emerson and resolves from the committee. The committee determined that Doggett should have the benefit of a prior resolve which
had cancelled a debt of Emerson in a land purchase from the state; Doggett had purchased some of that land at an inflated price and thus should be
property assigned the money. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of titles originally held by the the Library of Congress).
