Forty-fourth Legislature. Senate. No. 3. In December 1864, the State Liquor Commission presented its third annual report. By and large, the Commissioner was pleased with how things were going. It would be good if every town paid for its liquor on time--there was $15,000 in outstanding bills. He spent a lot of time examining and disposing of adulterated alcohol. If people really want prohibition, they should be willing to abide by the law. The office sold $76,000 worth of liquor during the year.
