Commissioner at Washington on Claims of Maine. Communication, 1858
Thirty-seventh Legislature. House. No. 36. On March 13, 1858, an unnamed Committee agreed with the suggestion of the Maine's Washington agent, Mr.
Weston, that he not be paid a salary, but be paid a percentage of any claims the federal government finally paid. There was correspondence about this,
including information on some of the claims, and finally a Resolve to cement the arrangement. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally
held by the Library of Congress).
