South Dakota Code of 1939 (in Four Volumes). Containing all the general laws of South Dakota in effect on January 1st, 1939, and the rules of
practice and procedure promulgated by the Supreme Court. Volume 1 includes a Foreword, the History of the Making of This Code, an Explanatory Note about the
Code, the Table of Contents and titles 1-31. Volume 3 includes Titles 38-65. At time of writeup, this set included volumes 1 and 3 of four-volume set
of the South Dakota Code of 1939, and a two-volume Supplement to the South Dakota Code of 1939 (1960). (Of the omitted volumes, Volume 2 of the 1939
Code included the Judicial Code, Titles 32-37; and Volume 4 was designated Annotations of Supreme Court Decisions.) Each volume of the 1960 Supplement
includes an Explanatory Statement; vol. 2 includes Reference Tables, and a General Index.
