March 14, 1838 Report of the House Committee on Canals and Public Works, in relation to the Southern termination of the Ohio Canal and the Eastern
termination of the Wabash and Erie Canal. Numerous statements, depositions, and other exhibits were attached; the committee considered that the Ohio
Canal was not properly placed. The Erie and Wabash Canal was subjected to numerous petitions, pro and con, regarding placement. (Digitized from a
