Pub. Doc. No. 51 Special report of the Auditor of State [Ohio] relative to the condition of the Goshen, Wilmington, and Columbus Turnpike Company,
in compliance with a resolution of the last General Assembly. January 16, 1843. The General Assembly asked five questions and directed that no more
warrants be issued to the company. Page 4 is difficult to read in places. The Auditor found the company records to be incomplete. The road was not
built according to plan. Page 5 is all but illegible. Contracts were let to those who were willing to accept stock instead of cash. Page 7 is very
difficult to read.
