Doc. NO. 61 Special report of the Board of Public Works [Ohio] in relation to the survey, plans, and estimate of cost of the Killbuck Canal.
January 22, 1840. Mr. Medbury, the engineer, delivered his report January 20, 1840. Mention was made of a map, but it was not present. The total
distance of the canal was 25+ miles, with very few locks, so it would not be as expensive as some canals. The local stone was useful for the job. Pages
9-17 were the cost estimates by section for a total of $256,027.
