Milford and Chillicothe Turnpike Road Company. Report, <1839>-
**Document No. 39 Report of the Milford & Chillicothe Turnpike Road Company. The company, in response to the rules of a loan, sent its financials
for 1839. It was allowed $344,000 in stock, with $249,696 actually paid for. It had spent a little over $159,000 on the road; it was completely laid
out, with twenty miles completed and soon open for toll. **Document Number 20 Report of the Milford & Chillicothe Turnpike Company, December 20,
1841. Twenty miles were open for toll, but a court judgment sent the tolls to the court. The Company expected the road to be complete in the summer.
There were no dividends paid to anyone. **Document No. 41 Report of the Milford & Chillicothe Turnpike Company. On December 10, 1842, there were
fifty-three miles of road open. All tolls were being received by the court. There was no mention of dividends.
