Commissioners on Claim against the U.S. Report, 1829
The report of the commissioners appointed by the resolution of the North Carolina General Assembly of 1828 on the claim of the state against the
United States. In addition the report examined all the old standing accounts on the books of the Comptroller's Office; that is, all accounts that were
not balanced. This was printed in Raleigh and submitted to the General Assembly in 1829. A conclusion made by the report was that the Comptroller's
office was not reliable regarding the various balances and claims. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of titles originally held by the University of North
Carolina Library at Chapel Hill).
