1851 House Bill to repeal "An Act to increase Revenue of the State," which was passed at the 1848-49 session. The 1851 bill would levy various amounts on numerous items, including profits and dividends from the slave trade and ships, various types of jewelry and buggies, certain professions and many other taxable items.
