1833, Proposed amendments to the Constitution
|
|
1833 Proposed amendments to the Constitution of North Carolina. The amendments made some significant changes in the structure of state government, including a more even distribution of representatives throughout the state, and the selection of the governor by election rather than in the General Assembly. It also limited voting to free white men. See LLMC #21262-67 for related material.
