Debates in the North Carolina House of Commons on December 18-19, 1821 regarding the Convention question. The document was originally written in
shorthand by Joseph Gales, and subsequently published in Raleigh in 1822. The report focused on whether a constitutional convention should be called by
the state to address matters of taxation and appropriate representation. The committee voted to reject the resolution to have a convention.
